# DiskGolf 0.1.0-rc.2

A free visual disk-space explorer for Windows 11 x64. This candidate is unsigned and remains under evaluation.

## Changes since RC1

- Clicking a nested file in the disk map now opens its containing folder and selects the exact scanned item. Files with identical names in other folders no longer cause an ambiguous filename search.
- Hovering a nested segment highlights its containing folder in the adjacent list. Hovering a folder row keeps its chart branch visible.
- Review entries retain their original scan identity. Switching scans clears review and rejects delayed results from the old scan.
- Version labels and diagnostic exports use the same application version value.

Local folder and drive scanning, cancellation and partial results; interactive disk map; synchronized sortable file list; largest-file search, extension and minimum-size filters; logical and allocated sizes with hard-link accounting; Explorer reveal and path copying; reviewed recycling; dark/light themes, keyboard navigation and reduced motion; optional local diagnostics without filenames or paths.

## Scope and test status

Scans are snapshots. Links, cloud placeholders and inaccessible locations are reported or skipped. File size differs from allocated space and whole-drive usage. Recycling moves files to the Windows Recycle Bin and does not immediately reclaim disk space. Restore files through Windows. DiskGolf never automatically empties the bin.

Network shares, other operating systems, browser cleaning, startup controls and duplicate detection are outside this release. Independent Windows installation/display-scaling checks, user feedback and publisher/distribution decisions remain outstanding.
